Label accueil vélo
Camping de l’Espiguette in Grau du Roi, Cyclo friendly

The Espiguette campsite is in the process of being labeled to obtain the “Label accueil vélo”.

Bike welcome, but what is it? It’s a national brand that guarantees a welcome, services and equipment specific to the needs of cycling tourists along cycle routes in France. The Accueil Vélo brand is a reference, an aid to prepare for your cycling trip.

After cycling, It’s important to find accommodation with all the services useful to cyclists.

A cycle path leads directly to the Espiguette campsite. That’s why we welcome every cyclist with a welcome kit. A list of repairers is also available on request. A dedicated and secure space will soon be available to leave your bike.

In Le Grau du Roi, there are many cycle paths so that riding on 2 wheels becomes a way of life.

The closest to the campsite is the Espiguette greenway which leads to the beach.

Hikers, cyclists, runners, roller skaters, scooters, strollers and people with reduced mobility, the Espiguette greenway is the first greenway in the Gard as a “classified site”.

This track, nearly 5km long and 4m wide, is prohibited for motor vehicles. This is the ideal way to get to the famous Espiguette beach; Between ponds and marshes, this cycle path progresses through one of the three major landscapes of the Grand Site de la Camargue Gardoise.

If you go for a walk, don’t forget to take a break to admire the fauna and flora thanks to the observatory of the Sicarex lagoon which is located just in front of the Maison Méditerranéenne des Vins (but shhh, we didn’t tell you anything, it’s one of our secret spots!)
